Heyo! I'm Alex Barker, the Side Hustle Coach.
I help busy professionals build successful side-businesses at warp speed.
After multiple failures over 3 years in business, here's the summary of what I've learned:
Fall in love with Action (over Results)
Take action alone = go slow
Take action with help = see results fast
The difference between wasting three years and building a profitable business
is a coach.
The only “secret sauce” in business is building the right relationships. You need people to get you out of your own head and out of your own way.
Why get a coach?
Your time is precious.
You do have the time to waste guessing at which path to choose. Coaching takes the guesswork and frustration out of growing a side-business. In the long run, coaching makes you more productive, moving you onto the fast track. If you're serious about achieving your goals, then I encourage you to consider hiring a coach.
I trust Alex a great deal. It’s comforting because our conversations allow me to believe new things I’m discovering about myself. Alex lead me to break thru my limiting beliefs. His coaching is definitely above and beyond the changes I’vee seen in myself, it's above my expectations. It’s added a level of seriousness to my business and my results.
Thru our conversations, he’s helped change my thinking, and thus my business transformed to another level. He’s unleashed my mind to another level, it’s improved my business. In the last two months of us working together, I generated an additional $31,000 of annual revenue! Oddly enough, I’m more excited about the changes in my mindset. I am hopeful for the first time in my business.
Here's what a coach has done for me
It helps to understand that I wasn't born a "successful side-hustler."
Years ago, I wanted a side-business to generate extra cash every month, but what happened was far from "extra cash."
I constantly questioned myself about every decision and battled self doubt. I couldn't stick with one decision to grow my business; every time a "new opportunity" (AKA distractions) would pop up, I would pursue it for weeks only to find that I didn't get any closer to my ultimate goal. I didn't have anyone in my circle to support me when I felt like giving up. And I lacked the know-how to get a business off the ground.
Why do I believe in coaching?
Take a look at this chart I created. It compares my business revenue and coaching investments over the last 4 years:
$30,000 spent to make an additional $177,000
Sounds like a good deal to me.
I don't charge $30,000 to coaching clients, but you can see the effect a coach can have.
Let's be clear. No one needs a coach.
That's right, a coach is telling you that you don't need a coach.
The right question to ask here is, "Do you want a coach?" I do!
I want someone who won't believe the negative stories I tell myself. I desire someone who will hold me accountable to my really big dreams, even when I doubt them. I want a coach who will hold my feet to the fire when I want to run from challenges.
Why don't you include your prices? What's wrong with you?
I don't include my prices because of a simple reason:
Everyone is different.
You have specific needs, and as a coach, I take that very seriously. I make myself available to my clients.
So, my price changes for each client because they need help with different priorities.
